WDY (boring edition)
It's here! My most talked about print on social media is now available.
This print is based on the lyrics from the iconic 70/80s kids tv show called 'why don't you', which had a theme tune that stuck in your head many many years later.
With the design I wanted to keep it clean and minimalistic as this print was all about the words/lyrics and thinking back to past memories growing up. The original shows titles are hand drawn animation chaos, so this becomes the opposite and about what you're reading. (This is also more my style as a designer).
The type is justified to the right because I wanted your eyes to finish in the bottom corner. A lot of 80s tv's had their off button in the bottom right (well ours was), so as the lyrics are about turning off your tv, I wanted that to be the place where you finish reading. Then at the end I have honoured the craziness of the original titles and the show sometimes in my own way, by having an active splash of paint. Perfect.
